Matching and chats
Tap once and FoxChat pairs you with one stranger who's online right now — a private one-on-one, never a group room. Next ends the match instantly and loads someone new. If matches feel slow, try busier hours for your timezone; the crowd rotates around the clock, but some hours are simply fuller.
Camera and microphone
The first time you video chat, your browser asks for camera and microphone permission — allow it to be seen and heard. If you blocked it by accident, fix it in the browser's site settings for foxchat.cam (the lock icon in the address bar), then reload. Camera-shy is fine: every chat can stay in text or voice only, and you can climb to video whenever it earns it. Built-in translation covers typed chats across languages.
Video quality and connection
Live 1v1 video adjusts to whatever connection you're on. If a chat stutters: move closer to the router or switch from a weak cell signal to Wi-Fi, close other tabs or apps eating the camera or bandwidth, and reload the page to renegotiate the connection. Persistent failures on a decent connection are worth a bug report — tell us the device, browser and rough location, and what the failure looked like.
Coins and billing
FoxChat is free to start — matching and first conversations cost nothing. Longer sessions and extras may use coins: one-time bundles, every price shown before you confirm, no subscriptions and no auto-billing. If a purchase didn't arrive, email [email protected] with your account email and the purchase time. The pricing page has the full meter.
Accounts
You never need an account to match. Register when you want continuity: signed-in users keep call history, follows and messages between visits. Nickname and profile edits live in your settings; account deletion is available there too, or via support.
The home-screen app
There's no store download. On iPhone: open foxchat.cam in Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android: Chrome → three-dot menu → Add to Home screen. The icon then opens FoxChat full-screen, straight into matching. The FoxChat app page has the step-by-step version.
Reporting and safety
Skip, block and report sit inside every chat window. Reports go to human moderators, on duty around the clock. For threats or anything urgent, report in-chat and email [email protected] marked URGENT. The safety page covers the habits that do most of the protecting.
